Exterior Paint Services on Colorado's Front Range
Colorado's Front Range accelerates paint degradation faster than more temperate climates — high UV exposure, altitude, and dramatic temperature swings are hard on exterior finishes. When you see chalking, fading, peeling at trim joints, or cracking around caulk lines, you're looking at the beginning of water intrusion — not just a cosmetic issue.
At CR Custom Exteriors, we use Sherwin-Williams exterior formulas as our primary specification — products engineered for temperature extremes and strong UV environments. The product doesn't matter if the prep doesn't happen, which is why we include full surface preparation (pressure washing, scraping, caulking, spot priming) in every whole-home repaint quote.
Our process, in order:
- Power wash and allow adequate drying time
- Scrape and sand any failing paint
- Caulk all joints, gaps, and penetrations with paintable elastomeric caulk
- Spot prime bare wood, repaired areas, and new trim
- Two finish coats applied to siding, soffit, and fascia
- Detail work on trim, window frames, shutters, and garage doors
Color consultation is available with our Sherwin-Williams color chip library. Colorado's high-altitude light skews bluer and cooler than most color sample photography shows — we'll help you account for that before committing to a color for years.
A whole-home repaint is also the right time to catch wood rot in fascia boards, trim, or soffits. We identify and report any wood damage during prep — and can coordinate repair before painting begins.
